On board SyAAF MiG-23

A stunning video for a SyAAF MiG-23 been uploaded today shows either an MF (I concluded so as usually it is fitted with unguided rockets pods, and could be attacking eastern country side of Hama) or a BN!?!?
Anyway...Enjoy!

Given the three antennas of the Odd rods IFF, it could be an MF (BN's antennas are undernose).

  2. Pretty striking how limited the cockpit visibility is - especially when you compare it to the ubiquitous F-16 and F-15 cockpit videos out there.

    1. I wonder how Russian design beareaus think...in addition to the bulky metal frame of the cockpit of most of Russian aircrafts, they accomodate the pilot in a low seat, dislike the F-16 in which the pilot seat is relatevily elevated so as he can watch what's around easily.
Look at their latest aircraft, the T-50, it still has limited view unlike the F-22.
